10th Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival announces opening of submissions
The registrations to the International and Brazilian Competition of the 10th BELO HORIZONTE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL have no fee and occur from 11th February to 14th March 2008.
To submit the film the applicant must access the websites www.festivaldecurtasbh.com.br or www.shortfilmdepot.com , read the regulation, fill out and print the submission form. After this, the applicant must send to the Festival Organization one copy of the application form, totally filled and signed, as well as a copy in DVD NTSC of the film.

The International and Brazilian Competition will accepted short films of all genders (except industrial or commercial films) whose launching has occurred on the period from January 2007 to February 2008 and the film must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes. The short films registered (selected or not) or exhibited on previous editions of the event will NOT be accepted

BRAZILIAN COMPETITION
REQUIREMENTS:

1) COUNTRY OF PRODUCTION – Brazil
2) SCREENING FORMAT – 35mm, 16mm and DVD NTSC
3) It is necessary the attachment (at the subscription form) of 1 photo and of the dialogues list / commentaries / texts in English.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
REQUIREMENTS:

1) COUNTRY OF PRODUCTION – ALL (except Brazil)
2) SCREENING FORMAT – DVD NTSC
3) It is necessary the attachment (at the subscription form) of 1 photo and of the dialogues list / commentaries / texts in English.

If all the material required for the registration doesn’t get to the Organization until April 11th, 2008, the registration will become invalid. The films selected to the 10th Festival will be announced until 20th June, 2008.

THE BELO HORIZONTE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL is a space for exhibition, discussion and valuation of the Brazilian and International short film production. The event is organized by Fundação Clóvis Salgado and by Centro de Estudos Cinematográficos de Minas Gerais – CEC, in partnership with Minas Gerais Government and Ministério da Cultura. The FESTIVAL was created in 1994, with the purpose of exhibiting the best Brazilian and international short film production.
